Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy

Welcoming All with Open Hearts

Hello!

As we begin the summer vac, we want to ensure that we can continue to stay in touch. If you are leaving Oxford University, please don't forget to send us your non-university email address. We even have a mailing list for alumni! (Note: you can sign up for this even if it's been more than a few years since you graduated!) Contact Alvea to update your details.

If you have any surplus non-perishable food items that you would like to donate to the Chaplaincy before you leave, please contact Alvea.

If you will be moving to a different college, let us know when you have a new email address so that we can update our records.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴... 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘁!
If you have any small or medium-sized practical items that you would like to donate to the Chaplaincy that can be used by other students (or that we may donate on to a charity like JRS if needed), please contact Alvea. In the last couple of years, we have received items like a neck warmer, kettle, suitcase, saucepans, duvets and pillows, among other things.
Over the summer, we hope to inventory our stock so the sooner we know what we have, the easier it will be to find something when requested.

Students - let us know if you are in Oxford over the summer. We can add you to the 𝘃𝗮𝗰 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁.

Over the vac, the Library and Strange Room will be in use at various times for external bookings including summer schools. Please join the vac chat (see above) to be notified of changes.
If you have books to return, please do so ASAP and email [email protected].
The Strange Room may not be available to Chaplaincy members in July and August. There may be more flexibility over the weekend. Please contact a Chaplain with queries.
If you left any personal items in those spaces, please contact Alvea as soon as possible.
The Chapel will be open as usual, from 7am to 11pm, until further notice.

The ‘𝙂𝙤𝙙𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 / 𝙂𝙤𝙙𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣’ 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢𝙢𝙚 for the next academic year is now live! This is the Chaplaincy's version of College Parents.
Current students, you’d be welcome to sign up as a ‘godparent’ - even if you have been one before. Don’t worry if you don’t have a ‘co-parent’; we can sort that out. Complete the form here: https://forms.office.com/e/kxVakaUvgf
If you are coming up to Oxford next academic year, or know someone who is, sign up as a ‘godchild'. Complete the form here: https://forms.office.com/e/EDe07780TD
